An 18-200m f2.8-5.6 lense???

Michael, while distortion isn't determined by aperture size, it's apparently harder - or at least more costly - to make a relatively low distortion lens with larger lens elements, and you'd need larger elements than in the present 18-200 if it were to have a larger maximum aperture.
