I have to disagree with your point on the Top plate LCD. I find it extremely useful. Like you, I thought it was redundant at first, having been used to rear-LCD viewing. But nowadays, I never use the rear-LCD, always keeping it tucked and stored backwards to conserve battery power (and facial oil marks; I've got a bad case). Granted I only use it to view and change my ISO setting, glancing down at my hips. A couple of times I noticed that I had accidentally moved the rear dial, resulting in +
- EV, something I might not have noticed with the EVF or during those spur of the moment pick-up-the-camera-and-snap.
