Slow 35

I don't use the focus & recompose method, I move my AF point around to suit my subject/composition. But I have watched a blurry moment pass as my 35 slowly moves in and out of focus.

Nice review, thank you. You made my mind up with the focusing speed comments. I'm in love with my 35g but must admit it misses shots occasionally b/c of focusing speed issues.

I'm never sure with my 85 1.4G if I am missing the shots because of the focusing speed (it is slow) or because it is not locking once in focus and un-focusing itself when I recompose. Do you think this could be the case with your 35 1.4?
Are you missing the shot or getting an out of focus one?
