Panasonic 12-35 f2.8 or Primes? Olympus 12 f2.0 Pan 20/1.7 or 25/1.4 and Olympus 45
May 27, 2012

Traveling by backpack around the world. Packing light to take photos of mostly architecture, street and street portraits on Olympus OM-D.

Panasonic 12-35 f2.8 $1299 + either the 20/1.7 ($330) or 25/1.4 ($480), and 45/1.8 ($330)
(Which prime, 20 or 25?)

Or

Olympus 12-50 (kit $299) + Olympus 12/2.0 ($650), and Pana 20/1.7 ($330) or 25/1.4 ($480), and Olympus 45/1.8 ($330)

Out of both combos would you go for the 20 or the 25. I love the compactness of the 20 and quality yet the richer pics and bokeh hold me confused bouncing nack and forth to the 25.

First combo would be easier to manage keep things light and fewer switching of lenses but more expensive. Second combo would give me more primes at faster, larger apertures possibly sharper across the range. Both would be versatile and both would give me weather sealing to boot.
Save money and have to switch lenses or pay more fewer switches?
