Okay I don't ever remember putting the iso to 3200. Out of the 9000 or so clicks on my camera I bet not more then ten are 3200 or higher. But evidently I must have had it set to 3200. I am going to practice with it today. Thanks.

Always a good thing to go out and see what happens. I wasn't a big user of Auto ISO in the beginning and didn't pic up on the "base ISO" setting until I started playing with it. It seems intuitive now but as simple as it seems, it didn't dawn on me until I "forgot" to set it a few times. I'm the type that has to make a mistake more than once before it sinks in to long term memory. Playing with all the hundreds of settings seems the only way to really learn. If your D7K does not act just as I said it should, regarding auto ISO, please let us know as it would mean something is not right and should be fixed. Good Luck.
