End of an era for me.

80-400 down and out. I really loved that lens. I do believe that model to be great value for the money. Notwithstanding the pokey focus speed I managed to get many good images using it.

I am thinking it is toast as the inner frame (looks like what we used to call pot metal) is broken off. Not sure until I do an autopsy, but this could be part of the optical cage....
ouch!
