Here is a little P.S. to my previous reply to you:

When talking FF versus MFT system comparisons with regard to lenses and resolution, I thought you might be interested in the following results provided by the very experienced Roger Cicala, the man behind LensRentals. He has recently run some tests of normal lenses on FF cameras and the corresponding MFT lenses on MFT cameras. As in the case of Lenstip, he prefers to analyze the unsharpened output (for reasons I have already tried to explain).

The figures are MTF-50 for center/average and expressed in their original lp/ih currency (line pairs per image height). As you can see, MFT stands up extremely well in this comparison too, in spite of the fact that all the FF cameras has higher sensor resolution and in one case (Leica M9) completely lacks the usual AA filter that reduces resolution:

Panasonic 20/1.7 on E-M5 (16 MP)
1.7 870/735
2.8 1050/875

Panasonic Leica 25/1.4 on E-M5 (16 MP)
1.4 690/590
2.8 960/820

Leica Summilux 50/1.4 on M9 (18 MP, no AA filter)
1.4 600/530
2.8 1025/860

Leica Summicron 50/2.0 on M9 (18 MP, no AA filter)
2.0 830/670
2.8 950/810

Canon 50/1.4 on 5D2 (21 MP)
1.4 650/530
2.8 920/690

Nikon 50/1.4G on D3X (24 MP)
1.4 560/500
2.8 830/750
