You are right about that. The HD4000 IGP is not too shabby. It should be fine for most work task. So you can try it before spend more money for a graphic card.

Do you have a IPS monitor such as the Dell Ultrasharp? If you do video/photo editing, it is a high priority. The latest generation monitor use 10 bit or 12 bit color. it will require a newer graphic car. Here is the resource

heatsink - anything with a heatpipe will be fine. This CPU runs pretty cool.
Power supply - Antec Earthwatts (super cool and quiet).

Case - I lover the cube

but it will require low profile heatsink which limit your choice.

Memory - no need to push beyond DDR3-1600 - just buy 2 bars of 8Gb each.

For motherboard - I prefer ASUS with Z77 chipset.

For storage - Use a 120G SSD as a C: drive, and add a 1T for D drive.
