I would assume the camera will have the same size and bulk as normal for Nikon cameras? (As in ~12kg for camera and a few lenses)

Really, which lenses do you use?

Take a D700 (or this D600), 24-70 and 70-200, 85, 50 and a 21mm... perhaps it is only 10kg?

If you carry equivalent (fast lenses like that) for a m43 or NEX system the weigth would not be that much lower. Lower, but still some weight. The price is that, lower weight vs some extra quality. As always, no free lunch ;).

I know there are some that would rather have a 35mm sensor here, but not all are here for the price

True, but likely many would like to try 135 format. Some may like it. Not for everyday shooting, but there's a reason why the 135 film format has dominated serious photography for over 60 years now.

Ya, it beat the larger, heaver, less practical systems by retaining enough quality and control to still be useful... Even if it was rediculed in the days for being a toy system for women because real photographers could never be satisfied with such a small and poor quality system...

Well, not really. The 135 format has some aspects that make it the best when you need steadiness (longer lenses), plus the IQ, dof control (why wedding shooters use 5D2 a lot, a very basic body actually, not much better than entry-level dslrs? Or sports shootes like the larger dslrs, instead of the lighter versions?).
