Now imagine someone could release a slim mirrorless with a FF sensor and some "slow" pancake primes. Maybe a 24mm f3.5, 50mm f2.8 and 135mm f3.5. Those could be pretty cheap and small lenses to make (At least they were in the film days), and yet still offer equivalent or better results to what the above systems offer.

I'd like to know how someone is going to make a "pancake" 135mm lens. The thinner the camera body is the longer these lenses are going to be. The camera and lens is going to end up being bigger than an m4/3 or APS-C mirrorless and if you are only getting equivalent or little better results what's the point.

These days people who buy full frame cameras and prime lenses are not interested in "slow" primes. I think you'd have a hard sell there.

You can get a Sony NEX 5N and the "slow" but good Sigma 30mm f2.8 and either the Sigma 19mm f2.8 or Sony 16mm pancake for much less than $3K - there are much cheaper options in m4/3 as well
