Wait for that kind of lens for next year. According to the new roadmap that includes 2013 lenses, the G zoom will probably have a f/2.8 max. and hopefully, constant aperture...

What a disappointment, I was expecting a F/2.8 zoom. If it's a variable max aperture zoom, I don't see a point since there's already an 18-55mm if the only benefit is smaller size.

ok, now...this pancake "G-graded" zoom lens is a good thing! With this, if they keep the size to a minimum and have excellent optical quality, will be enough to forget about the SEL1855 and SEL16F28 if it does include OSS. Two lenses in one solution...and pancake? Too good to be true...hope it's true Will buy it in a heartbeat if it's not priced above 600USD.

EDIT: maybe it's time to buy a NEX-C3 now that we are going to have more pancakes since the new F3 and probably the F5 will be bigger than old models.
