a significantly different aperture involved

for a subject of non-macro distances (beyond 1" or 1cm; like your example)

all you offer is a high dof shot with apertures on the small end

what is a high dof shot?

if you can still tell the background, even if it is slightly OOF, and your main subject is in-focus. (which is what your image shows anyway)

a super low shallow dof shot, goes beyond mere 'macro' type shots, but regular distance shots, say a flower... and the background is so blurry OOF, you don't know what it is (like a complex cityscape in the background, or a highly featured mountain-lake scenery, or a crowd of people... all totally blurred BEYOND recognition, that one could easily be facing some patterned wall... outdoor or indoor)

folks with FF lenses of a particular shallow DOF capable apertures (widest ones usually) already know this, experience it... so what's there to show?

you might not have such a lens, even if having a FF dSLR... so you wouldn't know at all, since you have no access to such wide apertures.
