Take a used E-3 and 12-60 for 1099USD or contemplate E-5 (body only)

Dear all,
old discussion, still I need to ask.
Is the E-3 +12-60 Zuiko (B&H rating 8+), for 1099 USD a fair deal?
I am unsure if I should go for an E-5 or just take an older used E-3 as a second camera (I have an E-3).
As has been discussed before, the E5 is supposed to have higher image quality, but I always need a leap of faith to see it when I see sample images.
Worse still, the newer micro 4/3rds, like this OM just out, is supposed to have a better IQ then the E-5.
So why bother with the E-5 if the advantages of IQ seem to be subtle and the professional aspects (PC shoe etc), are in the E-3 as well?
thanks for your ideas,
Benny
