I remember that the two lens kits were very popular from the time that the e-410/e-510 came out. I'd have loved to pick up the 40-150 too.

My niece wanted to learn about photography but there is a limit on the money I could spend on her birthday gift. So I picked up a ridiculously cheap Japanese E-300 that the original owner didn't realize could be changed to English. For lenses I'm giving her a Rokkor 50mm f1.7 and a Vivitar 200mm f3.5 (great lens!) that I had been using with my E-P1. Both are manual focus and work fine with an adapter (after sanding the aperture pins a tiny amount). But she needs an autofocus lens too, I think. Thus, the 14-42mm.
