It's been my experience that LR/PS extreme shadow lifts from ACR conversions unnaturally emphasizes the red channel.

And here the blue text turns grey using DPP

No, DPP cant save the outdated sensor technology in the 5D3

Even the 5 year old D700 does a lot better than the 5D3

Now that I really scruntinize that comparison I have to agree that the D700 looks a bit better than the 5D3 but it also looks better than the D800 too. Maybe there is something to the argument for big sensels.
