D800 RAW: 12bit lossless compressed VS 14bit compressed ?

Both have a similar file size (32.4 MB vs 35.9 MB according to Nikon).
Pros/cons for each setting? Will 14bit compressed produce better results than 12bit lossless compressed ?
Which setting gives better resutls with heavy processing (pushing shadows, etc) ?
