fz150 & polariser / skylight filters

I'm rather happy with my new fz150, and was wondering what people felt about polarisers and skylight filters on the camera? i'd hate for the lens to get scratched, and the sun has just made its first appearance fsince March...
i'm in the uk and have a choice between jessops own brand or hoya (about 10GBP more) - does anyone have any comments on relative quality?
