Good to see that you have the same GPS experience as I have.
I have searched the net for info about TFT-LCD screens viewable in bright light and found many companies selling such screens.
The technology seems to be that the glass cover is bonded to the LCD screen and thus eliminates the reflections between the surfaces.
To my understanding any pixelsize for the TFT-LCD screens as well as tuch sensitive screens are available.
The technology is available but not for cameras as well as smartphones, we live in a funny world!
