The new windows 8 desktop style somehow reminds me of windows 3.11. I liked windows 3.11. It will be nice working in such a retro style. It could even be better because in windows 3.11 I could change all the colours of windows elements to whatever I liked. I think windows 8 will not allow that so we will go even more retro. Music from the 80s and 90s was pretty good so windows 8 will be good, too.

A step back IMO whilst I'm not a fan of candy just for the sake of do have a choice here on the glass transparency effects in Win 7

I agree with some of the posts about dumbing it down for tablet users. Win 7 is going to an iconic OS for MS because Win 8 is going to be hated by most folks.

I can see so many mistakes with this OS it's not even funny but evidently MS are obvious to any concerns all I can say is the retail version had better address some of these issues and rapidly if there is any hope of it working.

Win 8 is on course to flop bigger than Vista
