Does focus assist work with manual lenses?

What do you mean, like DMF mode? There is no electrical connection, so the camera doesn't know you're turning the focusing ring.

However, i had to put focus assist on one of the programmable buttons (i used the AF/MF button).

On my Nex-5, it always puts it at the bottom.

As i said in my original post i got 2 Olympus OM lenses - the e-zuiko's 100mm f2.8 and 135mm f3.5. I was fortunate enough to get 2 lenses inreal good condition ... The only thing that is worn is the UV filter .. Probably the reason that the lens itself is in good condition.

In any case these old lenses are capable of producing nice pictures. Will try to post some later.
