Legacy lenses sharp wide open (if not razor sharp) that are pretty fast...I've owned 2.

35mm f2 Canon FD (chrome nose)...not super fast but a nicely sharp lens wide open &

85mm f1.8 Konica Hexanon AR mount....just plain awesome, and sharp wide open. Of course it's sharper @ f4. However there's not near as much difference between f1.8 & f4 with the 40mm. These are my experiences only and I've had only 2 copies of the 40mm and one of the 85mm or 35mm.

If you're looking for absolute sharpness "wide-open" in a 90-100mm equivalent, the 45mm f2.8 Pan/Leica is the best I've seen though the blur from the Oly 45mm f1.8 is "more relaxed".
