RAW Conversion programs
Use low sharpening for sure. Use low contrast for sure. Use of normal colors is ok. Use neutral color setting on G3 for sure. Find the right white balance, usually auto is fine and custom WB will be fixed by canon.

I have a question regarding RAW conversion programs. Is there a
compelling reason to adjust color, change WB, crop, or sharpen in
the RAW converter versus just converting "as shot" to TIFF and
making those adjustments in the image processing software?
