I assume you mean 30fps as in NTSC video?
Manual video control is something else the K5 should have had but never got.

Somehow I wouldn't hold your breath for anymore K5 firmware updates.
I think they would rather sell you a new camera.

I predict Ricoh will hold any video goodies back until K5's replacement which will/should have more comprehensive video specs.

Whatever it is it will need to have 30/25/24 FPS (PAL/NTSC) full manual control over all video parameters, video autofocus, no moire or aliasing (non-line skipping sensor) and much better audio etc. Frankly I can't see all that especially the sensor.

The K-01 has 30fps but is hampered by a lack of monitoring options. No EVF, articulated LCD screen or active HDMI during recording.

If you are keen on shooting video I suggest getting a Panasonic GH2 (hack the firmware) and grab a Pentax K > m4/3rd's lens adaptor.

For video quality no other sub $5k current hybrid camera touches it.

Has Pentax done anything like this? Ricoh typically puts a final update together for their cams when the new one arrives, sometimes having features from the replacement model.

I'd at least like to see 30fps in the K-5.
