I have 580EX2 and PWs too. Shame there's no firmware update for 5d3 yet. However 600EX-RT on FlexTT works better with older camera than 580EX/EX2 without need of wrapping it in "sock" (easy 30 m range w/o soft shield using PW Control TL and 7D).
