X pro 1: outer focus points.
May 20, 2012

Hi all.
In reviewing the many sample photos posted here and elsewhere, from the X Pro 1, I've noticed a preponderance of poorly (centrally) composed images with respect to pets and people. I'm curious as to whether this is a result of people being overly reliant on the center focus point ( and not recomposing), or whether the outer points being less accurate/sensitive?
I owned the X100 for a while but only used the central focus point, tending to recompose the image when needed, as I do with my D90. I don't recall any difference in performance of the various focus points.
I'll add that I'm not trying to be critical of people's abilities, only my initial observations of said samples.
Cheers.
Peter.
