The writer of the article suggests that Instagram and Facebook are the serious competitors for Flickr, but I don't see that right noe. You don't have to search far for blogs and articles claiming it is somehow unfair to upload DSLR-quality photos to Instagram.
That may change, but for now, most of the stuff on Facebook and Instagram consist of stupidly filtered shots of someone's last meal or drunken friends.
