Huh? What's wrong with the positioning of the release? It is where it should be and works as intended. Putting the release on the oposite side, would be plain wrong, because it is where the right hand fingers rest. It would interfere with the grip.

Anyway, has anyone else noticed how awkward it is to access the lens release button whilst holding the camera in situ? I've come close to dropping the whole kaboodle on several occasions due to the positioning - which is opposite to where Olympus generally place the release.

I suspect they chose aesthetics over practicality on this one.

Not a deal-buster but when combined with the appalling menu system and hopeless My Set access.....well, it's annoying.

So much they got right...
