What I don't understand is the vehemence with which some insist the FT is dead even after repeated assurances form Olympus that it is not.

While I am sure that they are, indeed, focusing most of their efforts on mft's, it would seem wasteful of them to turn their backs on a respected, well designed range of lenses. and really stupid -in terms of the OM story and recent scandals- to seen as breaking their word and turning their backs on users.

So while I hardly expect any major revival, I do expect at least one more camera, especially with the success of the OM-D taking some of the financial pressure off their imaging division. With, finally, some net profits coming in, it does seem likely that some of them will be directed to fulfilling this promise.

Photography is a small voice, at best, but sometimes one photograph, or a group of them, can lure our sense of awareness.
