Good point, let me clarify. I've created albums in Aperture 3, but they are not as "user friendly" or as visually appealing as Photoshop Elements. All I see are the blue album folders lined up on the left-hand side of the screen. Maybe there is a way yo get the albums to look better visually. I'll do some research.

When you say "albums", are you talking about grouping photos for purposes of organizing them or about creating a layout to have a book printed? It sounds to me like you're talking about making a book, in which case, Aperture has one of the best book layout tools around. You access it by clicking File > New > Book. A short video tutorial on Apple's site introduces the feature.
