Haha, I tried my old Tokina 50/210 with vivitar 2 times tubes to get 840 and shoot my hometown from 12 km over the water. Compared to the same shot from 12-50 it looked a little sharper/less strange noise/blurs. But contrast is so low to make it useless for making attractive pictures. But it can be used in stead of binoculars especially with 15 times magnification in MF and stabilisation!
When cash comes back a 75-300 will be on my wishlist...
