I think I understand your question. I feel the closest I have come is printing on Epson Exhibition Fiber paper, using an Epson 7900 printer (Epson inks). The color depth seems better and the "fiber based paper" looks and feels like the "old days". Ironically, the Wilhelm permanence ratings for EEF are lower than other Epson papers, although still longer than darkroom prints.
