Lexar 1000 vs XQD

With all the hype on the Sony XQD card it appears the lexar is faster.
Am I missing something? With the D4 the compact flash will write faster than the Sony.
I am no fan of Sony and would rather use all lexar. I am sure the other makers will produce a card that will compromise the sony.
