is the 50-200mm good enough to make the most of the 20mp sensor?

I am not sure that image stabilization adds much if anything. I like to shoot at higher shutter speeds and turn off IS. I still need to do more testing with IS on and off.

My experience says that OIS is helpful when I'm forced to use longer shutter values.

I had taken pictures on the concert and I got sharp pictures even with 1/50s 200 mm (300m eqv.) at F5,6.

When the ligt is strong, it is better do not use OIS - because we can get softer pictures caused by moving inside lens.
This lens is stiil placed in the center when OIS is off.

I think that pictures done by this lens (50-200) are softer than from 18-55 (my kit is very sharp similar to 30/F2- (maybe execptional copy) But generally on fullHD 51" they look very nice. I like its bokeh.
