Yes, RAW will have more DR than jpegs,. - but the HUGE difference in these tests cannot be contributed entirely to this difference between JPEG vs. RAW. Something is amiss. (.3 stops vs. 2.5 stops)

A JPG is an 8 bit representation. With the use of a tone curve, you can squeeze slightly more than 8 stops into a JPG. And that's all. JPG DR says more about the tone curve than the camera.

The RAW allows a full 14 bits of DR. That's what DxO is measuring.
