A legitimate business decision I think even if it does seem strange. Buy the faltering Pentax camera company assets and then give them your own small, but exotic and innovative Ricoh camera division to run. There would be a natural wonderment over seniority.

All these things can be overcome, if they in fact exist, it just needs a firm hand at the tiller to make sure the right pet projects are followed. So far Ricoh has only continued to the end of their previous road map. I presume that the Q and K-01 were on track before the merger.

Not sure if we have seen or heard of anything that can be said as a product of the combined intelligence of both companies.

We all wait with baited breath to see what the benefits of cross-fertilization mean to the combined camera group. Whether we get racehorses or inbred ponies remains to be seen.
