I keep them on all the time, don't use lens caps and no filters.
Works great and no fiddling with lens caps.

I'm curious if people shooting with an X-Pro1 keep their hoods on all the time on the 18 and 35, including in their bags. I've been worried that they will get smooshed or scratched in the bag if I don't (I'm used to plastic hoods, which I've also appreciated because if they get whacked I know they will break rather than the lens).

Also, I find the 60 hood a little annoying in that it isn't lined, so while I ordinarily would just flip it there is a nice scraping sound whenever I reverse the hood to store in the bag. But if don't store is that way in the bag it would take up a lot of space. I'm wondering how others store their hoods when shooting and changing lenses.
