G3 EVF-LCD white balance discrepancy

The electronic viewfinder on my G3 projects consistently cooler images of outdoor subjects than the LCD monitor, whatever the WB. For instance, a sunny landscape looks 'natural' on the LCD but distinctly bluish in the EVF (WB=Daylight). Even when PHOTO STYLE is set to MONOCHROME, the image in the EVF is bluish compared with that on the LCD.
Could this be a malfunction?
