D800 battery charge time?

Hi everyone. I'm curious about your D800 battery performance. I seem to read about lots of people getting around 1k pictures on a charge. I don't get anywhere near that. I'm usually at about 15% after only 300 or so pictures.

Last night, I put my battery on to charge when it had only 12% remaining. It was fully charged in about an hour. This seems really fast to me and I wonder if I not really getting a full charge, hence the low number of shots. However, when I checked the battery info after it was charged, it did say 100% and the charger light was on steady.
