I am looking for a UV, polarizer, and neutral density. I am assuming that by Hoya you feel that any Hoya's are fine. For example, on ebay there are various ones including HMC. If I were to go the cheap route - Tiffen/Promaster - how much would it affect the images?

Thanks for your input...

The cheaper filters can have some drastic negative effects, depending on glare.

Check that LensTip site for their UV test too:

Cheaper polarizers will make your images muddy and splotchy.

Cheaper UV can cause ghosting, distortions in sharpness, just all around not good things.

Go without before going cheap is my recommendation.
