I have been satisfied with my HS10 long-end shots so pretty sure I will be too with my HS30. Compared to HS10, there is really a significant increase in speed and IQ in higher ISO. Add also the EVF and LCD. Of course a DSLR with higher resolution + 300mm lens will eat any bridge cam alive in speed if not in IQ at the longest end.

Originals of those shots that I have posted will easily hold up up to 11x14 print.
