I would not be surprised at all to see some kind of "Bokeh Enhancer" built into these cameras eventually, given enough processing power. Seems like even just selecting the already blurred pixels and increasing blur in relation to existing blur, with perhaps different selectable strengths, might do it. I think one or two plug-ins can do this already.

You could also have it assess the existing depth of field and decrease it by a desired amount. If fact, for the full look you'd have to do both, decrease the depth of field (the amount in focus) and increase the blur with a realistic "blur curve" in front and behind the sharp area.

We could be shooting 8x10 looking shots with our cell phones.
