Yes, there is a difference if you view hi res prints or even on a 250 dpi monitor like the new iPad Retina display.

Metering is great, color is excellent and af if excellent and of course the world beating low iso dr. All combine to make very flexible files that look great with little or no pp. I think it is a very forgiving camera, quite a bit easier to use well than the predictions before release.

The first thing you will will notice is the incredible flexibility in cropping, it could even save you a lot of money by not needing a fx fast telephoto if you have a good mid or short telephoto. My 70-200 is long enough to get shots that might require a pricy 300 2.8 or 400 2.8 on a "normal" camera
