They are going mirrorless with Dx sensors too (direct rival of Sony Nex).

This fits my prediction that Nikon will introduce mirrorless Nex competitors too with DX sensor.

Like Sony, Nikon will not stop producing Dx DSLRs at once. One reason will be that there is no 'SLT' alternative other than the DSLR if you want to put PDAF in a body.

But this may become a non-issue once Sony comes up with the announced CMOS that contains PDAF eand CDAF sensors on the main sensor itself. With a 3 mln pixels arriving in the next EVF version (from Sony), we could be in for a suprise move by Nikon.

I do think it means the beginning of the end of the DSLR with Dx-sensors.

If we say mass market DSLRs, I tend to agree. As for D400, I think such enthusiast/pro models may sell quite well for still quite some time. And the D5200 will give quite a few hints about where Nikon is heading, for lower end cameras, I think.
