Help Selecting Lens.

Hi All,

I want to get a lens but im not really sure which way to go.

i need a lens for general used something , easy , fast and sharp. preferably something that can stand some minor damage as im planing to use this lens for the sole purpose of parties and family reunions and if my wife or someone else wants to use the camera. - hope it makes sense.

My equipment -

Canon 7D, Tokina 11-16 , canon 70-200 2.8L IS II, 100mm 2.8L, 100-400 L , 24 TS-E MkI

Im in between some lenses but not really sure.

im happy for a range from 16-50 - ive been using for a little bit a 20-35 and like it but the colours come out really bad in compare to my oder lenses - this means a lot of post processing

Lenses im considering.

Canon 16-35 2.8L MKII
Canon 17-55 2.8
Any other recommendation welcomed.

Money is not a problem as i have a budget of 1600 for this lens.
