Hey guys, after about 5 years, I'm finally upgrading from my D40 to a D7000. I'm selling the D40 and the kit lens that came with it. One of the main reasons for upgrading is for the video functionality offered by the D7000.

The only thing left to decide is whether or not to get just the body or the whole kit. I already own the Nikon 50mm f/1.8D AF and a sigma 17-35 f2.8-3.5 now i just need to decide whether to get the kit lens, or put the extra $300 into another lens. i know for that price i can get the Nikon 35mm 1.8g. Other recommendations are welcome. Any input is appreciated.
Thanks

One think to consider, the 18-105 kit lens that can be purchased with the D7000 is a stellar performer for the price and a very good working range. So good that I bought one specific to put on my back up D70.

Here it is compared to the Nikon 105mm f2.8 macro (a stellar performer)

D7000 with 18-105

D7000 with 105 f2.8 Macro
