Well, many here have never used a D3/D700; let alone do pro wedding photography... are they to beleive at your word?

There are tons of pros in the D4 forum who would have more insight.. esp. when it comes to PRO wedding work.. go for it!!! It would be fun.

I doubt there are many people there who have tried one.

I've had a D3 for four years, an E-M5 for two weeks, and D800 over lunch.

D800 wins, other two tie. That's what you'd expect after four years.

You should post your thoughts on the EM5vs D3/700 on the D4 forum and see what type of response you get. Then post it back here.

Over here, youre not going to get much objection, i dont think so... rah, rah, rah.. EM5 does it all.

If you haven't been following the thread about pro wedding photography you have missed a fine comedy moment...

I was opining that the E-M5 catches up with the (four year old) D3/D700 kit, but that doesn't actually mean it is the idea pro wedding camera, a newer FF would be better. And then I posted a link to the one wedding I've done in recent years to establish the point that I am not a wedding shooter, but I do understand the issues.

And then in storms some FF fanatic telling me the camera I use had nowhere near the DR of a D3, and that the skies were noisy, and that I'd probably used the kit lens. Why, he asked, did people insist on claiming so much for MFTs?

Of course, they were done with a D3, 105DC etc etc I rarely sharpen my stuff by the way, i don't like the look. I prefer the look of sharp optics and an AA filter. So, there he is, slagging off the camera he thinks he is championing, lovely!

Anyway, if you fancy a cheap laugh, here he is
