I'm really interested in wildlife and landscape photography which creates the need of a better lens

The 18-55 is perfectly fine for landscape. You don't need anything specific for that and the 18-55 is a sharp lens so optically it's fine.

For wildlife you generally want a fast ( = wide aperture ) telephoto lens.

On a budget the 55-300 VR is OK, or the 70-300 VR for more money. You'll be raising ISO to compensate for the lack of a wide aperture at the long end, but it's acceptable if you're not the pixel peeking type.
