DSLR/SLT vs. ultrazoom

Thanks for mention of 70-210 beercan and 70-200 f.4 for canon. Beercan seems to be great especially for its price. I'm really worried about Canons low-end camera's and lenses, so I think I'm still up to choosing from Nikon vs. Sony.

All the information about lenses and motors...... I'm a bit confused here. So Sony doesn't have ANY lenses with inside motors? What SAM stands for then? And Nikon on the other hand doesn't have built in motor.... Though, I still don't understand what does it mean in practice?! I've read the article about the difference and they basically represented how camera works with built in motor and how it works with in-lens-motor. It was interesting but in-lens-motor was considered to deliver better results.... so now I'm not sure what would work better for my purposes. Hmm.....
