No AF point selection with M (and A) lenses

Can somebody verify this? It's too bad if that's the case.
Yes, it's true that you cannot choose the autofocus point with non-autofocus lenses. See page 337 of the manual.
BTW, I have both the A and M versions of the 50mm f1.7 lenses. The M produces warmer pictures than the A. I had assumed that the auto WB would result in identical color balance, but that has not been true. I prefer the cooler look of the A.
