X100 and X-Pro1 on assignment (in China)

Hi there
I recently returned from a month long assignment in China where my only cameras were the X100 and X-Pro1. This was the first time I did not take a DSLR for a commercial assignment which did make me a bit nervous at first - and as time went on, I was very happy with the overall performance ... but thrilled with the image quality.
Turned out the X100 made a really good companion to the X-Pro1 as I love the 35mm (equivalent) focal length. The 60mm macro was usually mounted on my X-Pro1 but I used the 18mm and 35mm lenses as needed. One draw back though was that I found myself missing the longer focal lengths at time, but that did not happen very often. I was able to work with the 4 focal lengths (28mm, 35mm, 53mm, 90mm equivalents) that I had with me.
The best part is that the JPEGs SOOC are awesome ... so much so, that I was able to process my 2,000 images (or so) in Lightroom on my Macbook Air on the 14 hour flight from Hong Kong to Toronto (plus sneak in a nap, watch a movie and eat a few bowls of noodles too). That is huge for me as I have saved myself several days of post processing work at home which I can devote to other things.
If you are interested in reading my experience with these cameras in China, feel free to do so:
